Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AliGate (“AliGate”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit our website or use the AliGate AliExpress Data API (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
AliGate provides a REST API that returns structured data parsed from publicly available AliExpress listings. The Service is distributed and billed exclusively through RapidAPI. You can contact us at support@aligate.io.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Website usage and analytics
When you visit our website we use third-party web analytics to understand traffic and improve the site. This may involve cookies or similar technologies that collect information such as your IP address (often truncated/anonymized), device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page and approximate location.
2.2 API usage data
API access is authenticated and billed through RapidAPI, which provides us with the identifier of the subscriber making requests. When you call the API, we process the request parameters you send (for example product_id, store_num, country, currency, locale) and keep technical server logs (such as IP address, timestamps, endpoints called and response status) for security, abuse prevention, rate-limiting and troubleshooting.
2.3 Communications
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message and use them to respond.
We do not receive or store your payment-card details — billing and subscription data are handled by RapidAPI under its own privacy policy. We do not require a separate account or signup on our website.
3. How we use information
- to provide, operate, secure and improve the Service;
- to monitor usage, enforce rate limits and prevent abuse or fraud;
- to measure and improve website performance and content (analytics);
- to respond to your inquiries and provide support;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, primarily for analytics. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the site. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and where our analytics provider offers an opt-out you may use it. Blocking cookies may affect some non-essential site functionality but does not prevent use of the API.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: our legitimate interests (operating, securing and improving the Service); performance of a contract (providing the API you subscribed to via RapidAPI); your consent (for non-essential analytics cookies, where required); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- RapidAPI — our distribution, authentication and billing platform;
- Analytics providers — to measure website usage;
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run and protect the Service;
- Authorities or third parties — when required by law or to protect our rights, users or the security of the Service.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.
8. Data retention
We retain technical logs and analytics data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above (such as security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics) and as required by law, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@aligate.io. For data handled by RapidAPI (such as your account and billing data), please also refer to RapidAPI’s privacy policy.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and developers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@aligate.io.
